Protection & Insurance *

Effective Date: 18/02/2026

At FlyingSponge, we are committed to ensuring that your experience is safe, secure, and protected. While we are in the process of arranging formal financial protection and insurance coverage, this page explains how we plan to safeguard both your payments and your wellbeing.

1. Financial Protection

We aim to provide financial protection for all participants’ bookings in line with UK Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

This will ensure that, in the unlikely event of company insolvency, your payments for programmes are refundable or otherwise safeguarded. Full details of the protection scheme will be confirmed and made available before any bookings are accepted.

2. Insurance Coverage

FlyingSponge plans to hold insurance covering:

  • Public Liability – protection in case of accidents or injuries during programmes.

  • Professional Indemnity – coverage for legal or professional claims.

  • Host Family & Accommodation Coverage – safeguarding participants during stays with hosts.

Once insurance is arranged, we will provide full details of the coverage, providers, and limitations.

3. Your Responsibility

While we finalise our protection and insurance arrangements:

  • Participants are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, cancellations, repatriation, and personal liability.

  • We recommend reviewing your insurance policy to ensure it covers all activities you plan to take part in.

4. Commitment to Transparency

  • We will publish full protection and insurance details before confirmation of any bookings.

  • Our T&Cs, Privacy Policy, and Safeguarding Policy remain in effect at all times, providing guidance on conduct, safety, and obligations.

Note: This page is intended to explain our planned protections. Bookings will only be accepted once formal financial protection and insurance are in place.
